Earring & Pendant Weekend Course

In this fun and creative course you learn the basics of jewellery making.

Earring and Pendant Making Weekend Course

Our course is open to complete beginners and those who have already done an introductory course or another short jewellery making course. You will make a pendant or necklace on Saturday with the option to add in a bezel set cabochon stone.

On Sunday, you will make a pair of earrings, including the findings for them, while also experimenting with the ancient Korean technique ‘Keum Boo’, which is adding 24K Gold Leaf to your silver earrings. Learning how to dome your metal is also an option.

We want this to be a creative course for you, so we will help you design your earrings and pendant. There will be some guidelines for them, based on your level of experience and also so that they can be finished on time!

What will I learn?

It’s open to all learning stages so it’s really your own project with the help and guidance of our experienced tutor who will be there to support you with her extensive knowledge. You will practice/learn how to set a bezel set stone in your either pendant or earrings, and you will learn about

● Texturing
● Piercing ( sawing )
● Learn how to solder
● Make the findings for your pieces
● Keum Boo
● Doming metal

For those of you who are complete beginners you will be learning from scratch how to do all these things, for those of you who have some experience in jewellery making you will get to practice your skills and also build on them by learning new techniques, including
making the findings for your pieces, polishing, doming metal and Keum Boo.

Duration of Course

The duration of the course is from 10-5:30pm on Saturday, and 10-5:30pm on Sunday.

You will have an hour’s lunch break where you can either choose something from the wonderful shops/cafes in the local area or you can bring a homemade picnic and enjoy in Stephens Green Park, just around the corner!

“So much fun. It was great to be able to book and have the place just for a group of friends especially in the current climate. We did the charm making class. There was lots of giggles and flying charms when polishing. We really want to go back and do the ring making class next. Staff are all super friendly and very helpful. “
