The Silver Works is a collaborative passion from a group of silversmiths and jewellers all working within the Irish industry, teaching fun, interactive classes and courses in the heart of Dublin’s Creative Quarter. We love to share our passion for creating jewellery with others and give you an experience of a lifetime!
Founded by Madeleine Blaine in August 2018, Silver Works, which started humbly as a weekly night class, has fast become one of Irelands top experiences, with locals and explorers alike delighting in the experience of this ancient craft. With everything from two-hour classes to five-week part-time courses on offer, there really is something for everyone!
Silver Works and our sister company The Collective (our Independent Jewellery & Gift store where you’ll find our creative brands as well as pieces from Ireland’s most wonderful artists) began our journey in a small basement space of 24 Drury street and through hard work and passion, we now proudly occupy three floors of this beautiful and historically steeped Dublin building.
That’s where you’ll find us running workshops that range from full beginners and improvers’ courses to special one-day events, like our unique romantic Wedding Ring Workshop and gorgeous Girls Nights. We love to share our passion with others and there is nothing we like more than meeting a great bunch of people and helping them create fantastic, handmade silver pieces. We leave a class as joyful as you do – having felt we have made new friends!
Word has gotten around about our workshops, and the joy goes both ways. Our award-winning Jewellery Making Classes have over 3,000 five-star reviews have seen us crowned ‘Most Reviewed Experience in Ireland’ by Airbnb. We were also named a winner of Europe’s Travel and Hospitality Awards 2020 and a finalist for ‘Hen & Stag Supplier of the Year 2020’ by Weddings Online!
In 2021, we were delighted to be nominated and eventually win an Irish Enterprise Award, which are awarded to Irish businesses that are committed to demonstrating outstanding levels of excellence, customer service and innovation.
Our owner, Madeleine Blaine, was announced as the winner of ‘Female Entrepreneur of the Year 2023‘ by the LEO Dublin City Women in Business Network for Silver Works & our sister company The Collective!
