BIO:
Isis started her journey into jewellery in 2013 whilst living in Canada. Like most of our students, her first taster was a ring-making workshop which had her immediately hooked. She continued to take part-time and hobby courses whenever she could. Two years of hard work paid off and landed her a position as an apprentice in a trade workshop. Isis now works full time as a goldsmith, specialising in stone setting.
Working in trade has offered Isis experience in a vast array of jewellery techniques and styles and has given her a broad knowledge-base to share with her students. You can find her in any of our workshops, but her main focus is running the Introductory courses and the 7 Week Design and Make course. Here, students bring their varied and creative ideas and always go home with new skills, new knowledge and, of course, some stunning jewellery.
Isis’ favourite thing about jewellery is that it is a skill in which you will forever learn something new and you will always be pushed to take your practice to the next level. Her students and their ideas are invaluable here and she strives to offer them as much information and knowledge as she can through her classes.
