This exciting, immersive Introduction to Jewellery Making Course is for you if you are a complete newbie to jewellery making or if you feel your skills are a little rusty and would like to get back into jewellery making after a break! 
Our introductory 5 week course is the perfect place to start. Our small workshop size supports you as you gain confidence, knowledge and skills as a jewellery designer and maker. You’ll make a silver pierced pendant or silver ring with a rub over bezel setting. Gain an insight into this incredible, ancient craft with highly-experienced goldsmiths who work full-time within the industry and have an abundance of jewellery making experience.

What will I learn in this COURSE

Learn goldsmithing
basics hands-on:

  • How to pierce (saw) and drill through metal
  • How to form a ring using pliers and texture it
  • How to solder
  • How to Bezel set a stone
  • How to polish on a polishing motor

Learn through
demonstration and
explanation:

  • The teacher has great experience in the jewellery world and will be able to answer any questions you may have about  jewellery making techniques

    Yes, we will need to check them first to ensure they are suitable for use in your piece.

    You can buy materials including silver and gemstones from us at trade price and the cost depends on what you are making and amount required.

  • Is the venue accessible

    Unfortunately, no. As both of our studios are located in very old and beautiful period buildings, we have lots of stairs and are therefore not accessible for people with impaired mobility.
