Uncover the lost ancient art of wax casting as you learn to carve your own ring in our fun and creative workshop. Embrace your true creativity with your ring design while our expert helps you bring your idea to life as you are learning new skills. You will hand-carve your own ring from a piece of wax.
When you’re finished your design, it’s ready to be sent off to be cast into sterling silver or gold. Your ring will return to us approximately 3 – 4 weeks later and our team of goldsmiths will finish the ring for you by sanding and polishing it beautifully. We let you know when your ring is available for collection, or we can organise to post it to you at an additional cost. We offer gold plating and gemstones as an optional add on if you wish to add some extra sparkle to your wonderful creations, both of these services increase the lead time on receiving your ring back by an additional 3 weeks each.
You will get an insight into this incredible, ancient craft with a highly-experienced goldsmith who works within the industry and has an abundance of jewellery making experience.

After the workshop we take your carving to professional casters who turn your wax carving into sterling silver, using the ancient lost wax casting technique. It will be returned to us within 3 weeks and we will clean up your casting to your chosen finish, matte or shiny, and return it to you once that’s finished!
Please note if you would like to opt for any of our additional services such as gold plating or gem setting, the time added on for this service is on top of the casting process. So if you are to get both services your ring will take 3 weeks for casting and polishing + 3 weeks for gem setting + 2 to 3 weeks for gold plating. This means the total turnaround time will be approximately 9 weeks, as each service is completed at a different specialist location. Depending on chosen finishes and services it is between 3-9 weeks for completed rings to be ready for collection.
Yes. You can choose a thicker ring for an extra €25, including wax and casting.
Although we spend a good amount of time making sure your ring is as presentable as possible, the time in the workshop dedicated to polishing and sanding should be used carefully to remove deeper scratches and marks.
Please keep in mind that this is a skills-based workshop, and if it’s your first one, your ring won’t be perfect — and that’s completely okay. The small imperfections are what make it truly handmade by you.
Embrace them as part of your creation’s story. You can always come back for another workshop to refine your skills and make another beautiful, unique ring.
Once your piece has been returned to us, our team of goldsmiths is on hand to clean and polish your ring. We let you know when your ring is ready for collection.
