Metal clay is a magical medium that starts out as soft clay and can be shaped and moulded into a unique, bespoke piece with your own design, textures and initial. When it is fired it turns into real fine silver right before your eyes during the class! Join our experienced teachers on an exploration of this unusual medium and discover its endless possibilities. 

You will get an insight into this incredible, ancient craft with a highly-experienced goldsmith who works within the industry and has an abundance of jewellery-design experience.

What will I learn in this workshop

Learn goldsmithing
basics hands-on:

  • Cut, texture, stamp, and roll your metal clay.
  • Design a custom two-tiered charm or pendant piece.
  • Personalise your charm using unique textures and stamps.
  • Add your own initial for a personalised touch.

Learn through
demonstration and
explanation:

  • Understand the firing process that turns clay into silver
  • Learn proper techniques for filing and sanding your charm
  • Gain foundational skills for advancing to the Improvers Workshop.

  • Can I purchase a chain for my pendant?

    Yes, we offer special discounts of 20% on our chains for our workshop goers.

  • Do you offer gold plating?

    Yes, we offer a gold plating service. It’s €30 for a 14-21 day service turnaround. Simply let your teacher know and they will organise this for you. 

  • Is the venue accessible

    Unfortunately, no. As both of our studios are located in very old and beautiful period buildings, we have lots of stairs and are therefore not accessible for people with impaired mobility.
