Handmake your own sterling silver charm or pendant to add to your charm bracelet or necklace!
Create a personalised charm or keepsake for you or someone special. Choose from a variety of pendant shapes including circular and diamond, or special icons like hearts, flowers, stars and even shamrocks! Charm makers over time have become more and more creative and this is a fantastic workshop to explore your creativity, learn a new skill and come away with a stunning, hand made piece of jewellery. You will get an insight into this incredible, ancient craft with a highly-experienced goldsmith who works within the industry and has an abundance of jewellery making experience.

What will I learn in this workshop
Learn goldsmithing basics hands-on:
First practice various textures on Brass using a planishing hammer
Stamp out desired shape for your charm
File edges if needed using small hand files
Add textures to the charm for a unique look.
Stamp initials. Zodiac signs or a variety of designs on to your charm
Learn through demonstration and explanation:
Watch your charm being drilled with a pendant motor to fit a jump ring
Understand the polishing process of the pendant motor
Choose desired finish, Matte or Shiny

Yes, we offer special discounts on silver chains for our workshop goers.
Do you offer a gold-plating service?
Yes, we offer a gold plating service. It’s €50 for three charms, €40 euro for two charms and €30 for one charm. It is a 14-21 day service turnaround. Simply let your teacher know and they will organise this for you. You will be contacted by text when your charm is ready for collection. Alternatively, you can have it posted at owners’ risk. It’s an additional €10 (within Ireland) to €15- 20 (outside of Ireland).
Is the venue accessible
Unfortunately, no. As both of our studios are located in very old and beautiful period buildings, we have lots of stairs and are therefore not accessible for people with impaired mobility.
